The Company is seeking a Vice President of Government Affairs to play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining relationships with community stakeholders, including city staff, elected officials, and other influential members. The successful candidate will be responsible for leveraging their background in politics, public administration, and business to monitor legislative and regulatory activities, assess business risks and opportunities, and ensure the company's market position is promoted. This highly visible position also involves leading a team of Government Affairs Directors and Managers, collaborating with executive management on new business pursuits, and contributing to the development of corporate strategies that align with government standards.Applicants for the Vice President of Government Affairs role at the company must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of four years in politics, either as an elected official or staff member, as well as at least five years in a "front end" business role. The role requires strong analytical, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills, the ability to work under tight deadlines, and a proven track record of persuasive communication. The ideal candidate will also possess a high degree of emotional intelligence, integrity, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse perspectives. Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to perform the physical requirements of the position are also necessary.
