About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Major Gifts to join their dedicated team. This pivotal role is focused on steering the organization's fundraising efforts, with a specific emphasis on developing strategic plans to secure major donations. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of major gift fundraising, including the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major donors across various sectors. This includes leading a team of fundraising professionals, collaborating with executive leadership and board members, and harnessing data analytics to evaluate and report on fundraising activities. The VP of Major Gifts will also be expected to demonstrate a commitment to the values of the organization, including a deep care for the mission, integrity, and a sense of community and belonging.Applicants for the VP of Major Gifts role should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in major gift fundraising or a related field, with a proven track record of securing significant gifts. Strong leadership and management skills are essential, as is the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in English is a must, and experience with fundraising software and data analytics tools is preferred. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, adept at problem-solving, and committed to fostering an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
