About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Operations with a strong background in engineering and direct construction project management experience to lead their internal PM/Precon and CM teams. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the vision of the company to be a leading solar solution provider in the Americas, overseeing the design and buildout of utility-scale solar PV and battery storage projects. Responsibilities include leading and mentoring diverse project management and construction teams, managing a broad network of suppliers and partners, and ensuring operational excellence by implementing best industry practices and driving cost reduction programs. The role also involves close collaboration with the engineering, procurement, and development teams to enhance design efficiency, resolve technical issues, and successfully bid on large-scale projects.Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with a graduate degree being highly preferred, and a minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering or construction, including at least 10 years in solar development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing and building large-scale solar power plants, experience with the RFP process, and the ability to deliver EPC cost estimates. Strong leadership skills, the ability to manage large technical organizations, and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential. The role requires the capacity to interact cross-culturally, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and the willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
