About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Operations to direct and oversee the overall operations and site management of its distribution centers. The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating and administering collective bargaining agreements, ensuring that procedures are in place for a safe, efficient, and service-oriented department, and maintaining a profitable operation by controlling inventory, losses, and safety. This role involves site leadership, planning and directing long-term objectives aligned with business goals, and integrating various activities such as shipping, receiving, transportation, purchasing, and sales to achieve company goals.Applicants should have a 4-year degree (or equivalent experience) and at least 10 years' of operations experience, including a minimum of 5 years' in management. Knowledge of D.O.T. regulations, labor relations, customer service, budgeting, and OSHA and HAACP regulations is essential. The VP of Operations will also be responsible for personnel management, including delegating responsibilities, enforcing company policies, and overseeing the performance of warehouse associates. The role may also involve networking to share best practices and knowledge within the industry. Experience in a unionized environment and the ability to negotiate collective bargaining agreements are required for union facilities.
