Vice President of Operations - Electrical - Data Centers and Renewables - Texas
Gryphon Oakwood are currently seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead a new division for a growing Electrical contractor in the Texas market. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical construction within Data Centers and Renewables, and a proven track record of success in leading operational teams.
Responsibilities:
Develop & Execute Strategic Plans:
Establish and implement comprehensive strategic objectives, policies, and performance standards. Ensure alignment with the company's long-term vision and foster continuous improvement.
Operational Excellence Architect:
Provide insightful leadership and mentorship to operational divisions and individual leaders, driving peak regional performance.
Lead Business Plan Development:
Oversee the creation and management of annual business plans with regional operational budgets. Ensure alignment with revenue and profitability goals, prioritizing strategic financial management and risk mitigation.
Project Management Acumen:
Maintain a comprehensive grasp of all regional projects, actively leading their successful completion.
Cultivate a Collaborative Environment:
Foster a winning approach, developing strong relationships with Division Managers, Project Executives, and Operations Managers. This collaborative spirit will drive successful and profitable operations, alongside exceptional customer satisfaction.
Drive Business Development:
Champion business development initiatives and identify opportunities for new processes, emerging technologies, and streamlined systems to enhance overall effectiveness and achieve organizational goals.
Executive Collaboration:
Partner with executive leadership, offering operational expertise and strategic guidance to develop and achieve company goals. Strengthen relationships with industry peers and represent Rosendin both internally and externally.
Data-Driven Leadership:
Analyze and approve all P&L activities utilizing data-driven insights. Regularly present performance updates and key metrics to the CEO and executive leadership team, enabling informed strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
Degree:
A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required (or equivalent experience).
Work Experience:
A minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience is necessary, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role within an electrical contractor.
Industry Expertise:
An advanced understanding of all aspects of construction is required.
Proven Leadership:
Demonstrate a successful track record of leading complex business operations and high-performing teams.
Strategic Decision Making:
Possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex challenges and make effective decisions.
Organizational Acumen:
Exhibit strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills to manage a demanding workload.
Collaborative Influence:
Exemplify a balance of strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Effectively build relationships, influence stakeholders, and foster a collaborative environment at all levels.
