About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Regional Line Manager for Professional Liability with a strong work ethic and diverse skill set. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of single risk underwriting in the Americas, ensuring the execution of the professional liability strategy, and exceeding financial targets. This role involves collaborating with global specialty lines to refine underwriting methodologies, developing policy forms, and operating within delegated authority levels. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, with an MBA being desired but not required, and at least 10 years of successful underwriting in professional liability and related lines. Strong relationships with distribution partners, business acumen, and excellent communication skills are essential.Key responsibilities for the role include steering the single risk strategy across the Americas, contributing to the portfolio's overall results, and cultivating relationships with distribution partners to seek new business opportunities. The candidate will also be expected to stay abreast of legal, regulatory, and industry trends affecting the professional liability line of business. Strategic planning capabilities, the capacity to lead and motivate others, and a proven track record of profitability in underwriting are crucial. While not mandatory, insurance industry designations such as RPLU are desired. The role demands a self-starting attitude, flexibility, time management, and strong ethics to manage the evolving landscape of the business unit effectively.
