Job Description - Vice President of Sales
Reporting to the EVP of Sales, the Vice President of Sales is the Sales Discipline Leader within the Commercial Strategy Team. It collaborates with the Commercial Strategy leadership team to drive revenues and market share. This position will develop, implement, and ensure performance of revenue generating initiatives across all hotels with emphasis on the Group, Business Travel, Contract, and Catering Segments.
This position will also aid in the growth of third-party management contracts by promoting Remington to prospective owners, representing Remington’s digital marketing expertise during RFPs and pitch meetings, and by maintaining positive relationships with asset managers and owners.
Responsibilities
Oversee the Divisional Vice President of Sales team in the development and execution of sales strategies for portfolio and individual hotel needs. Segment focus includes Group, Business Travel, Contract, and Catering
Develop Key Metrics for sales performance to align with the budgeted top line and NOI expectations of all ownership groups
Work closely with the Divisional Vice President of Sales on client engagement and lead development through all phases of the sales funnel
Recruit, hire, train, and retain top talent in the marketplace
Develop, monitor & audit field sales bonus plan on an annual basis and propose changes for the upcoming year.
Be knowledgeable of the multiple brand contacts, resources, and opportunities to drive sales performance and value for our ownership groups.
Participate on brand and industry advisory boards and represent Remington on industry panels, print articles and interviews.
Oversee corporate sales associates such as lead merchandisers & coordinate field taskforce support.
Deliver accurate reporting of performance metrics to all ownership groups
Work with the Business Development team to present the value of Remington’s sales organization capabilities and differentiators to potential ownership clients
Actively engage and manage vendor relationships to drive ROI with innovative tools and resources
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a senior executive responsible for Sales & Marketing at a multi-brand hotel management company
Required travel of up to 60%
Expertise in marketing, revenue maximization, strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, administration, operations, training, and effective staff leadership and motivation
Hands-on leader with superior negotiation, written and oral communication skills
Proven success in driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets
Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data for decision-making
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
Ability to travel as needed
