Job Description - Vice President of Truss Sales
The Business:
Our client is a leading $250m independent multi-unit truss and component manufacturer catering to multi-family, custom, semi-custom, and production builders across the South and Southeast. They are seeking a VP of Sales to develop and implement market and customer specific sales strategies while growing and leading their sales team. Known for their customer-centric approach, the company mission is aimed as quality product and providing solutions to their customer.
The Opportunity:
The VP of Sales will play a pivotal role within the business and leadership team as a key partner in shaping and driving the company’s strategic direction. The best professional will have a nuanced understanding of market dynamics in the South and Southeast to effectively serve various builder segments. Leading a team of 15, this Sales Executive will be responsible for developing and implementing the sales strategy, while at the same time attracting and developing an industry leading sales team. The ideal candidate must excel at building relationships with cross-functional teams and possess significant experience in truss manufacturing or framing. Reporting directly to the president, the VP of Sales will have a “seat at the table.” For the right individual, this role offers opportunity for growth, mentoring, and development under a strong leader, with the potential to advance into a C-level executive position.
What you will need to be successful:
Proven experience in leading teams and implementing strategic sales initiatives.
Demonstrated success in building and nurturing high-performing sales teams.
Adept at fostering collaboration and effective communication with seasoned cross-functional teams.
Robust technical knowledge in the truss/component or framing/construction sectors.
A deep understanding of project lifecycles to enhance solution offerings.
A commitment to long-term relationships and a customer-centric approach.
