About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Value and Access with a strong commitment to the development of treatments for rare diseases. This executive will be a key member of the commercial leadership team, responsible for ensuring that the company's innovative therapeutics are accessible to the rare disease communities that need them. The role involves leading the development and execution of integrated market access strategies, with a focus on optimizing pricing, access, and reimbursement for the company's products, particularly a late-stage clinical candidate for a rare primary immunodeficiency. The VP will also be accountable for US and ex-US payer engagement, driving cross-functional efforts to remove reimbursement barriers, and managing the distribution network to ensure clear access to approved therapies.Candidates for this role should have a Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred) and at least 15 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with a deep expertise in value pricing, reimbursement, and patient access, especially in the rare/orphan or specialty therapeutics space. A strong understanding of the US and ex-US healthcare systems, including legal and regulatory environments, is essential. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in product launch market access, HTAs, and pricing and reimbursement across global markets, as well as experience in alliance management. Effective project management skills, strong communication, and the ability to travel are also required. The VP will be expected to build and lead a market access organization, ensure compliance with regulations, and proactively develop strategies to address evolving reimbursement environments.
