Job Description - Vice President/General Manager- RF Microwave

Job Title: General Manager

Overview:
Top executive for RF Microwave businesses with sites in NV and CA. Executive must reside within driving distance of one of these two sites and the expectation is that this is a full-time on-site position. Travel to and from the non-resident site should occur in regular intervals. (It should be noted that an executive residing in NV will be expected to travel to and from the CA site 2-3 times per month, where an executive located in CA would only be expected to make 1 trip per month to NV)

Responsibilities & Duties

Provides high-level Executive management support to the RF Microwave Sites. Position reports to Division President/Chief Executive.

Primary duties may include:

Full P&L responsibilities for both RF Sites (CA and NV)
Hands on Project and Resource management
Ensure all projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's established policies and objectives
Provides general management of all departments at Sacramento site, with dotted line management of Sales, Finance and HR functions
Provides management, coaching, and direction to Operations Manager and Engineering manager at NV and CA sites
Responsible for continuous improvement of productivity and efficiency of all operations
Responsible for effective management of funds, personnel, and contract deliverables
Works closely with VP of Sales to meet budgets and support growth initiatives
Works closely with Division Executives to identify, qualify and onboard potential acquisitions.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred or minimum of 15 years of progressive management experience in a Defense Electronics Company
