Job Description - Vice-President - Greater Houston and South East

Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities and Position Qualifications:
Position Summary:

The Regional Vice-President guides the overall leadership structure and strategic plan and creates goals for quality management and financial management of the assigned region in collaboration with the Regional Managers and Regional Sales Managers. The Regional Vice-President is responsible for overseeing and executing strategies, key business functions and achieving annual growth, revenue and profitability targets. The Regional Vice-President directs and grows the business within a defined region through effective leadership and management of all aspects of customer service, quality patient care, marketing and responsible financial management. Practices cost containment strategies, maintaining profitability and growth while ensuring compliance with applicable company and regulatory requirements. Assists divisional management with the development, implementation and management of divisional and company initiatives and strategies.
Principle Responsibilities:
Directs the operations of a defined region providing leadership and guidance regarding customer service, quality patient care, marketing and financial management.
Interprets and implements company and divisional policies and procedures and directs and plans the activities of the region to maximize returns on investment and increase in productivity.
Strategic leader with strong knowledge of industry practice and business principles.Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company.
Provides leadership, guidance and coaching for all direct reports to maintain an engaged and productive workforce.
Ensures the provision of outstanding patient care while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and company standards.
Interacts with all levels of the organization to manage the business.
Responsible for profit and loss management within the region insuring optimal performance to achieve or exceed key performance indicators.
Accountable for driving all pertinent business initiatives, including prompt implementation of action plans to correct below threshold performance.
Develops strong relationships with Physician practices within the region and facilitates the establishment of strong relationships between physicians and area managers.
Ensures all employees in the region receive the required training to ensure compliance with company policy.
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Management, sales, marketing or a related field highly preferred.
Experience:

A minimum of 10 years of business management experience in healthcare markets. Clinical laboratory sales, marketing, customer service financial experience a plus. Proven success in selling large accounts, leading change management, talent development and services development. Experience in mergers and acquisitions a plus.
Skills:

Strong leadership, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to motivate operations and sales staff to meet and exceed goals.
