Carem Management Services is currently seeking a Vice-President of Business Development to lead the continued growth of its home health, hospice, and palliative care companies. The founders of Carem bring a 100-year family tradition of building strong up- and downstream relationships and partnering with that network to deliver clinically integrated care to our patients. The ideal candidate will drive strong, sustainable financial growth by leading our business development teams to create new referral relationships and maintain existing ones. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Lead, motivate, and mentor those charged with business development of the managed entities.  
  • Develop, maintain, and periodically revise strategic plans for each managed entity that both complement existing strengths and call for fresh and relevant innovations that stimulate their markets.  
  • Develop, maintain, analyze, and periodically revise data-driven reporting and metrics that adequately depict the degree to which each managed entity is achieving its growth and strategy goals.  
  • Conduct periodic market reviews (at least annually), including the assessment of the top competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, and report opportunities to Executive Team.  
  • Oversee and participate in the development, maintenance, renewal, and termination of payer contracts.  
  • Research and present to Executive Team new and innovative strategies that have the potential to enhance the company and further its vision.  
  • Basic knowledge of computers, typing abilities and willingness to utilize computers on a daily basis.  
  • Demonstrate superior customer service through professionalism, courtesy, consistent and timely follow-up, and positive communication.  
  • Adhere to all policies of company, including job descriptions, requirements, mission statement, HIPAA, confidentiality standards.  
  • Adapt to changes in responsibilities in a positive manner, is receptive to new ways of completing tasks, and is flexible in carrying out assignments.  
  • Communicate and interact professionally and respectfully with others in attending to and meeting their requests.  
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively discharge the responsibilities of the position and are in the best interests of the company.  
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction 
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs 
  • Promote company’s services through website development and branding 
  • Utilize analytics to measure public engagement and identify new growth opportunities 
  • Educate marketing team members to increase effective sales strategies 
  • Create a positive presence for our company and the healthcare services we provide 
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and business development ideas to Senior Management Team by presenting proven data analytics 
  • Must be able to work independently with periodic (daily or less) support and directions.  

Qualifications & Requirements: 

  • Preferred education and experience including a Bachelor's degree plus five to fifteen years of experience in Executive-Level Healthcare Marketing roles. 
  • Proven ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel in a multi-site clinical environment. 
  • Ability to travel as needed for business purposes. 
  • Multi-site hospice/home health marketing experience preferred. 
  • Demonstrated adaptability to changing business environments. 
  • Demonstrated ability to relate to all levels in a business organization. 
  • Superior team leadership and organizational skills with an ability to prioritize multiple demands and projects. 
  • Sound leadership and decision-making skills to achieve results. 
  • Ability to stimulate collaboration across functional areas with an ability to build teams, as well as consensus. 
  • Proven ability to create practical solutions to address business challenges. 
  • Self-starter with a high degree of initiative and ability to work independently. 
  • Ability to meet deadlines and implement projects effectively across multiple entities with ultimate accountability. 
  • A valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance.
