Video Conferencing and Mobile Device Technician (On-Site)

We are seeking mission-driven professionals to join Team Red Pulley in supporting Commander, Naval Surface Force Atlantic (SURFLANT).

We’re seeking a Video Teleconferencing & Mobile Device Support specialist to ensure reliable, secure communications across conference rooms, mobile platforms, and collaboration tools. Your work will support real-time coordination and mission execution at the headquarters level.

Location: Commander, Naval Surface Force Atlantic (COMNAVSURFLANT) (CNSL), Naval Base, Norfolk, VA
Work Environment: On-site with periodic travel

Minimum/General Experience: 5 years of experience working with Cisco Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems in an enterprise environment

Minimum Education: High School diploma

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience administering and troubleshooting VTC infrastructure, including codecs, cameras, microphones, control panels, and conference room systems.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory for user authentication, access control, and device integration.
• Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Office 365, including Teams, Outlook, and collaboration tools used in VTC and meeting coordination.
• Experience supporting government mobile devices, including Apple iOS and Android platforms.
• Knowledge of mobile device configuration, security settings, updates, and user support in a controlled government environment.
• Ability to support Flag Officer and senior staff VTC systems, including high-visibility and time-sensitive meetings.
• Experience coordinating system availability, scheduled maintenance, and outage notifications to command leadership.
• Strong troubleshooting, customer service, and communication skills to support executive users and staff personnel.
• Ability to work on-site in a headquarters environment and coordinate support for ashore subordinate commands.

• Active Secret Security Clearance (preferred)
• Ability to maintain DoD clearance eligibility

Travel Requirements

• Position is primarily based at Naval Station, Norfolk
• Might require periodic travel within a 50-mile radius

Key Responsibilities 

• Maintain and support Flag Officer and staff Video Tele Conferencing (VTC) systems at CNSL Headquarters and designated ashore commands.
• Configure, operate, and troubleshoot Cisco VTC systems to ensure reliable daily operation.
• Monitor VTC system status and ensure systems are operational for scheduled and ad hoc meetings.
• Notify command personnel of system outages, degraded performance, or scheduled maintenance in a timely manner.
• Schedule VTC resources and initiate video conferences in support of command meetings, briefings, and operational events.
• Provide end-user support for VTC meetings, including setup assistance and real-time troubleshooting.
• Configure and support government-issued mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets.
• Assist users with mobile device setup, configuration, connectivity, and application support.
• Coordinate with IT staff and service providers to resolve VTC and mobile device issues that require escalation.
• Support modernization efforts by assisting with system upgrades, replacements, and configuration updates as directed.
