About the Role At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring a Video Editor to create engaging, high-performing content across social media and marketing channels.
This is a hands-on editing role.
You’ll take raw footage and turn it into:
Short-form content (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) YouTube videos Marketing and brand content Social-first video assets This role is ideal for someone who understands:

What You’ll Own Video Editing & Content Creation (Core Focus) Edit videos using: Adobe Premiere Pro Final Cut Pro DaVinci Resolve Turn raw footage into: Clean Engaging Platform-optimized content Maintain strong: Pacing Story structure Visual flow Short-Form & Social Media Content Create videos for: TikTok Instagram Reels YouTube Shorts LinkedIn Social campaigns Optimize content for: Retention Watch time Engagement Scroll-stopping hooks Graphics, Captions & Enhancements Add: Captions Music Sound effects Motion graphics Transitions Ensure videos align with: Brand tone Marketing goals Platform style Multi-Platform Exporting Export videos in: Vertical (9:16) Square (1:1) Horizontal (16:9) Optimize for: Quality File size Social platform requirements Feedback & Revision Management Make revisions based on: Team feedback Client feedback Performance insights Maintain organized project files and workflows Deliver edits on time and with strong attention to detail What Makes You a Strong Fit You understand both editing and content performance You know how to keep viewer attention You move quickly without sacrificing quality You can adapt content for different social platforms You take ownership of final output quality Required Experience & Skills Experience Experience editing videos professionally or freelance Strong understanding of: Social media content Video pacing Storytelling Attention retention Core Skills Proficiency with: Adobe Premiere Pro Final Cut Pro DaVinci Resolve Ability to: Edit quickly and efficiently Meet deadlines Follow feedback accurately Strong eye for: Timing Cuts Engagement flow Nice to Have Motion graphics experience: Experience editing: Paid ads YouTube content Marketing videos UGC-style content Understanding of: Watch time CTR Audience retention metrics What a Typical Day Looks Like Organize and review raw footage Edit short-form or long-form videos Add captions, music, transitions, and graphics Export multiple versions for social platforms Make revisions and finalize edits Collaborate with marketing and creative teams In short: You turn raw footage into engaging, high-performing content people actually want to watch.
