MISSION:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To execute video editing and content creation processes that support weekend services and digital engagement, ensuring consistency, timely delivery, and adherence to Citizen Church’s brand and excellence standards.

I.      EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

• Must exhibit God-centeredness with emphasis on the Fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control)


• Proficiency across Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and the full Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Audition


• Strong storytelling skills and creative eye for pacing, tone, and visual style


• Ability to build and customize motion graphics templates in Adobe After Effects, including lower thirds, title cards, sermon series graphics, and lyric overlays


• Experience with color grading and audio mixing/sweetening within Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Audition


• Familiarity with Adobe Media Encoder for efficient batch exporting and multi-platform delivery


• Understanding of video compression, export formats, and delivery specs for web, broadcast, and social media platforms


• Experience creating content for social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Reels, Shorts)


• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence


• Flexible and adaptable to the dynamic needs of a multi-campus church


• Bilingual is a plus but not required

II.     DUTIES:

Content Creation

• Help create short-form video content tailored for social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Reels, Shorts), supporting Citizen Church’s online presence and outreach.


• Produce high-impact content around key church calendar moments including Easter, Christmas, and other special services


• Capture and edit video content at church events, services, and special projects, including recaps and highlight videos for holidays, volunteer initiatives, and outreach events


• Support the growing demands of multiple weekly services — including four English services and a Spanish service — by keeping content fresh, relevant, and ready on time


• Stay current with editing techniques, platform best practices, and emerging creative trends to keep content fresh and culturally relevant

Video Editing

• Edit and produce video content for weekend services across all campuses, including announcements, countdowns, testimonies, sermon series graphics, and highlight reels


• Maintain week-to-week visual consistency across sermon series arcs, ensuring each piece aligns with the overall creative direction and message of the series


• Ensure brand consistency and excellence across all video and media outputs in alignment with Citizen Church's creative identity


• Collaborate with pastors, worship leaders, and creatives across departments using Basecamp for task management and Microsoft Outlook for scheduling and communication


• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, ministry-driven environment


• Organize and maintain an efficient media asset library, including raw footage, project files, and exported deliverables for easy team access

IV.  SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• At Citizen Church, we believe we don’t simply maintain—we multiply. The Video Editor & Content Creator will help raise up volunteers to grow in skill, ownership, and excellence, ensuring that the vision and culture of our church continue to expand.

Friday: OFF

Saturday: OFF

Sunday: 7:00am - 2:00pm
