Job Description - Visual Merchandising Specialist
Are you someone that has worked with planograms in retail? This position is a great, entry level, opportunity to do a different side of retail. The goal for the Planogram Specialist is to assist the Category Managers and be responsible for maintaining assigned Planograms in Health & Beauty Care and General Merchandise
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :
Maintain the integrity of the planogrammed merchandise categories assigned by
making appropriate changes
when necessary based on additions and deletion of product according to merchandising standards.
Ensure the Customer Planogram Library database is current with the most
updated planogram files.
Work with Category Managers
updating Planograms during the Category Review process.
Maintain Innovation Center, cutting in new items, and removing deleted items
according to merchandising standards.
Create and print planogram
files based on customer and sales requests.
Create new and deleted item distribution grids for Buying Department to ensure accurate inventory forecasts.
Work with Account Managers to assist with
lost sales report
specific to deleted and not authorized items for assigned accounts.
Create
shelf tags files
in planogram sequence for the Customer Service Department.
Create product orders
based on planograms for customer service.
Run planogram files for specific customer cost and retail information.
Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED required. Associates Degree preferred (work related experience will be considered in place of formal degree)
Advanced MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook computer software skills.
1-2 years of Retail Experience, experience working with space planning tools (e.g., Spaceman) preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to multi-task; Detail oriented; Strong analytical and creative skills preferred
Experience in visual merchandising is a plus
Physical / Mental Requirements:
Requires manual dexterity and visual acuity sufficient to typing, filing and perform other administrative job functions (type, email, etc.).
Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force to pick up and move objects.
Physical ability to safely perform job functions with or without aid of mechanical devises.
Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, stop, reach.
