Miami Children’s Museum is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Visual Studio Artist to join our team! This role is perfect for an artist with a passion for early childhood education and community engagement.

The Visual Studio Artist plans, organizes, and facilitates visual art activities for children ages 0–8 and their families visiting the Museum. Programming takes place daily in the Art Studio, during field trips, and at special events. Activities should expose children to a variety of artistic mediums, techniques, and materials in a fun and engaging way.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Design and lead interactive, age-appropriate visual art activities in the Art Studio.
• Train and support Museum Educators in facilitating art projects.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain art supplies, the Art Studio, and the Art Gallery.
• Create thematic art activities that align with the Museum’s monthly programming and special events.
• Promote hands-on, process-based art exploration through various mediums and materials.
• Lead art workshops and contribute to special events and community programs as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience designing and delivering art-based programs for children.
• Strong knowledge and skills in visual arts and creative techniques.
• Team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
• Ability to adapt programming to different age groups and learning styles.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related art or education field preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the Museum.
