Job Summary
Supports, and is responsible for incorporating into job performance, the Frederick Health (FH) mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy and adheres to the FH Compliance Program, including following all regulatory requirements and the FH Standards of Behavior.
Responsible for the completion of birth certificates and fetal death certificates including transcribing information into the State of Maryland Electronic Vital Records System ((MDEDRS)
Example of Essential Functions:
· Scans and indexes all completed documents into the hospitals electronic medical record system.
· Updates all newborns names in the hospitals electronic medical record system.
· Communicates on a regular basis with Vital Records division of births, participates in training with the State Department and follows all procedures issued by the State Department concerning the birth process.
· Participates in ongoing feedback with the hospital nursing leadership as it pertains to the birth policies and procedures. Effectively communicates to improve processes and turnaround times with our birth registration process.
· Responsible for completing affidavit of parentage paperwork.

Pay is based on experience, skills and education. If position is part-time, salary will be pro-rated based on scheduled hours. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on specialty if applicable. Non-Exempt positions may have shift differential and/or Overtime paid, if applicable.
Hourly Range: $17.00-$22.66
Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm with rotating weekends
40 hours per week
