The Vocational Employment Manager provides strategic oversight of the RISE Vocational Center, ensuring effective and efficient service delivery aligned with organizational goals. This role focuses on departmental operations, financial management, regulatory compliance, and contract coordination. The manager supports and guides supervisors who oversee day-to-day activities and staff, ensuring high standards in employment services for individuals with disabilities.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Oversight
Provide departmental leadership by developing and refining operational processes to meet program goals.
Collaborate with supervisors to ensure consistent service delivery, safety, and compliance.
Identify operational challenges and implement strategic solutions to improve overall department performance.
Financial & Resource Management
Develop and manage the department’s budget; monitor expenditures and analyze financial data.
Allocate resources efficiently to meet production and service delivery objectives.
Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of equipment, materials, and facilities.
Staff Leadership & Support
Support and guide supervisors in implementing best practices and achieving performance targets.
Facilitate communication across teams and departments to promote collaboration.
Participate in staff development planning and performance evaluation processes.
Contract & Client Coordination
Establish and maintain relationships with business partners to secure vocational contracts.
Monitor contract deliverables and ensure quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
Act as the primary contact for contract negotiations and client relations.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., FLSA, Section 14(c)).
Maintain and review documentation related to contracts, operations, and program performance.
Prepare and submit required reports for stakeholders and leadership.
Participant Advocacy & Program Growth
Collaborate with internal teams to support individualized goals for participants.
Promote skill development, independence, and inclusive employment opportunities.
Support initiatives to expand vocational programming and community partnerships.
All other duties assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Must be 18 years of age.
High School Diploma required; associate or bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Minimum three (3) years in a managerial or program coordination role; experience with disability services preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in sales or a related field.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and interpersonal communication.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management systems.
Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and any subsequent background check after employment.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a Missouri Class E chauffeur’s license within 14 days of hire.
Successfully complete employment-related training as directed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods.
Occasional evening/weekend hours or travel to meet production deadlines or events.
