Job Description - Voice Network Engineer (VOIP)

We are expanding and looking for a passionate person who can join our business and grow with us moving forward. We actively take responsibility in all aspects of what we do, from the often not-always-straightforward supporting roles, to planning and carrying out work with projects on-site and ultimately finding solutions to problems. Key Responsibilities
Installation and support of on-site & cloud-hosted communications services
Assisting with projects each step of the way. Obtaining requirements from customers, configuring local or cloud-hosted PBX systems, provisioning & testing those systems
Building call-flows, setting up voice-mails, automated messaging, ring groups/queues, failover etc.
On-boarding new customers. Delivering phones and voice equipment on-site, providing basic assistance & training and ensuring everything is up and running
Basic troubleshooting and/or repair of physical cabling issues with the assistance of the rest of our technical team
Taking phone calls and providing support to clients. Lodging and actioning support tickets & emails with assistance from our techs
Creating and supporting documentation related to voice systems for customers
Troubleshooting voice communication, from physical faults to registration and call quality issues
Working with the rest of the team, ensuring we can all deliver to a high standard

Desirable Skills and Experience
Must-Haves
3 years in a similar role with a high focus on

VoIP

based systems.
Has experience in

Cisco and Mikrotik System.
Excellent troubleshooting & fault finding abilities. Ability to think on your feet and work towards solving problems that may not always be expected
Knowledge of Data Networking including Switches, Firewalls, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, etc
Highly familiar with setting up and managing customer accounts and call flows
Clear verbal and written communication with clients and staff members
Nice-to-Haves
Has experience in other traditional PBX voice systems.
Strong focus on customer service, in-office as well as in-person
Flexibility in your role, able to assist the team when required
ACMA Open Registered Cable License is desirable but not essential
