Voice/Comms Technician II

QBE is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Voice/Comms Technician II (Journeyman) to join our team in Doral, Fl.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

The Voice/Comms Technician II administers and maintains voice communication systems, which encompasses the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of voice system hardware and related components

They collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth operation of voice systems, implementing necessary upgrades or enhancements at the direction of Senior Voice/System Administrators

They work with Auditing and IT Leadership Teams to conduct routine system audits and identify and resolve security and performance issues

The Voice/Comms Technician II receives guidance and direction from more senior staff

Minimum Qualifications:

• HS in field necessary to assume Voice/Comms Technician II duties and a minimum of 3 years of relevant Voice/Comms Technician II experience.
•      A candidate holding a relevant Bachelor's degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for that extra education.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating and maintaining voice systems.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related discipline. 
• Experience with military/diplomatic operations working within a J-6/G-6/S-6 Directorate or with Special Operations Forces (SOF) or the Department of State (DoS) facilitating user access to and use of video display and conferencing across multiple commands and agencies. 
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
• Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.

Clearance Requirements:

Must be eligible for or have a current/active Secret Eligible clearance.
