Volunteer & Elementary Pastor

We are looking for a relational and highly organized leader to serve as the Volunteer and Elementary Pastor for

Bethel Kids. This role is central to recruiting, equipping, scheduling, and encouraging the team of volunteers who

serve across our children’s ministry. The ideal candidate will carry a pastoral heart for people, burn with a passion for

seeing kids encounter God, know who they are and be equipped to transform others, and the administrative skills to

build strong systems of support and communication.

This role will be a part-time position initially with the possibility of extending to full-time in the future.

Position Type: Part - Time

Hours: 23 Hours Per Week

Salary: $20.00 Per Hour

Responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard, and train new Bethel Kids volunteers, ensuring alignment with Bethel’s culture and values and the mission of Bethel Kids
• Provide ongoing encouragement, communication, and pastoral care to volunteers
• Develop and lead volunteer orientation and training sessions
• Partner with Bethel Kids pastors to match volunteers to roles based on gifting and ministry needs
• Maintain accurate records of volunteer involvement, availability, and feedback
• Support special events, seasonal programs, and other Bethel Kids initiatives with volunteer teams
• Ensure volunteers are resourced, supported, and equipped to thrive in their roles
• Lead alongside the Bethel Kids team to plan and lead weekend services

Minimum Qualifications -

• A growing, personal relationship with Jesus and alignment with Bethel Church’s core values
• Experience working with children in a ministry or educational setting
• Ability to inspire and encourage others with a servant-leader approach
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Thrives working in a fast-paced, team-oriented ministry environment
• Availability to work Sundays and occasional evenings or events as needed

Preferred Qualifications -

• 2+ years of experience coordinating or managing volunteers
• Familiarity with children’s ministry and Spirit-led ministry environments
• Strong relational instincts, leadership and pastoral care skills
• Experience training and equipping teams
