Description
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment, selection, training, coordination, record-keeping and supervision of volunteers and the services they provide. Develops and maintains relationships and programs that enhance volunteer services and promote value to the community and organization. Strong proficiency in public speaking for recruitment, awareness and other outreach events. Responsible to create an environment and culture that enables Hospice of Hope to fulfill its mission and to meet or exceed volunteer goals and requirements.
Must have personal qualities of empathy, responsibility, initiative, and dependability. Must be able to demonstrate effective leadership and communication skills with volunteers, patients and patient families, team members, and community agencies; effective planning and organizational skills; proven ability to maintain good working relationships with a variety of people and groups; proficient computer skills.
Associates degree in social sciences, communications, or healthcare administration preferred, or equivalent experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Shift Monday-Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm in Maysville office.
