Position Summary
Upper Valley Haven is seeking a highly organized, relationship-focused Volunteer Services Coordinator to lead and strengthen the organization's volunteer program. This position is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, training, supporting, recognizing, and retaining volunteers across multiple Haven programs
The Volunteer Services Coordinator serves as both a hands-on coordinator and a systems-minded program leader. Working collaboratively with staff, community partners, schools, businesses, and volunteers, this role develops and improves volunteer systems, creates meaningful service opportunities, tracks program effectiveness, and helps ensure volunteers have a positive and mission-centered experience.
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who enjoys building relationships, managing multiple priorities, solving problems, and creating systems that support organizational effectiveness and community engagement.
Compensation
Salary: $58,000–$62,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Upper Valley Haven sits on a four-building campus about a mile northwest of the center of White River Junction. Office space within the campus will be provided. A fifth off-campus shelter will open in the fall. The Haven’s business hours run from 8:30 to 4:30, while Haven shelters are staffed 24/7.
This is a full-time position that generally operates during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend hours are required to support volunteer groups, community events, trainings, and organizational activities. A hybrid work schedule may be available based on organizational and program needs.
