Description

 We are seeking an enthusiastic VOLUNTEERS. The main purpose of VOLUNTEERING is to make a difference (we can’t stress that enough), but for those who want to work in healthcare, helping in a hospital can be a great way to acquire new skills, network, and improve your mental health in the process. Learn how (and why) to gain healthcare experience while you’re helping others.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Giving      directions or escorting visitors
2. Answering      telephone
3. Delivering      flowers
4. Door greeter
5. Escort patients      to their rooms
6. Escort patients      to the front lobby after being released 
7. Socialize with      patients and/or visitors
8. Provide support      to patients and families
9. Aid hospital      staff as needed
10. Maintain a safe      and clean environment for patients’ and families 
11. Activities with      the patients

RESPONSIBILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

1. Assist patients and visitors in navigating the hospital.

2.  Deliver and collate printed material such as hospital pamphlets to patients or visitors.

3. Maintain the reception area and direct visitors to the correct area.

4.  Escort patients or visitors to various areas within the hospital

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School Diploma or GED

2. Able to read, write, and communicate in English or Bilingual is a plus!

3. Volunteer on weekdays and weekends

4.  Clean background check

5. Up-to-date immunizations
