VP, B2B Acquisition Marketing

Job Description - VP, B2B Acquisition Marketing

Who We Are

In an increasingly complex world where people are starving for someone they can trust, we stand for something simple: always put the client first. We do well by doing good for those we serve. It’s the ultimate measure. We believe in providing value beyond a doubt and in the notion that time will either expose you or promote you, based on your willingness to embrace change.

We serve financial advisors and investors through three entities, each headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska: Carson Wealth, Carson Coaching and Carson Partners. We provide coaching and partnership services to advisor firms – and straightforward financial advice to the investing public. We all share a common mission to be the most trusted in financial advice.

Who We Want

Lead the development and execution of an integrated business-to-business marketing strategy that attracts and engages financial advisor audiences. Translate business, brand, and audience priorities into a focused growth agenda across media, campaigns, digital experiences, content, events, demand generation, and lead generation. Strengthen the advisor prospect journey, build Carson’s presence with priority audiences, and improve Marketing’s contribution to pipeline and organizational growth. Partner across Marketing, Sales, and external partners to align priorities, coordinate execution, and optimize marketing investments. Provide leadership to dedicated business-to-business marketing resources while creating clarity and momentum across a complex, matrixed organization.

What To Expect

  • Business-to-Business Strategy and Roadmap: Own the integrated business-to-business marketing strategy and roadmap for priority advisor audiences. Translate business, brand, and audience priorities into clear objectives and programs, establish sequencing and tradeoffs, and evolve the roadmap based on business needs, market insights, and performance.

  • Advisor Prospect Journey: Oversee the integrated marketing experience for prospective advisors from initial awareness through conversion readiness. Identify and prioritize opportunities to improve relevance, engagement, and continuity across digital experiences, content, events, nurture programs, and Sales touchpoints. Ensure marketing programs support both long-term consideration and near-term demand creation.

  • Media and Market Activation: Direct paid media strategy, planning, and execution for priority advisor audiences. Establish channel mix, investment levels, targeting, and campaign priorities in partnership with internal teams and agency partners. Connect paid, owned, and partner channels with content, digital experiences, events, and demand programs to create a coordinated market presence and optimize investments based on audience response and business outcomes.

  • Integrated Marketing Leadership: Align Brand, Content and Creative, Digital, Events, Marketing Operations, Insights, and external partners around advisor acquisition priorities. Establish clear requirements, priorities, and performance expectations for shared capabilities. Manage dependencies, capacity, and tradeoffs to support the timely execution of priority initiatives.

  • Sales Partnership and Performance Optimization: Serve as a senior Marketing partner to Sales by establishing shared audience and growth priorities and improving demand quality, handoffs, conversion readiness, and funnel visibility. Incorporate Sales feedback, audience insights, and performance data into marketing strategies. Establish practical measures across awareness, engagement, demand, nurture, and pipeline contribution and use results to optimize programs and investments.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop dedicated business-to-business marketing resources by establishing clear priorities, accountability, and ways of working. Build strong partnerships across the organization and provide the clarity, focus, and direction necessary to advance shared goals.

  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks, duties, and responsibilities as needed or assigned by leadership to support departmental and organizational objectives.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field required.

  • Minimum ten years of progressive business-to-business marketing experience, including at least five years in a marketing leadership role, required.

  • Experience leading advisor acquisition marketing within wealth management, asset management, financial technology, or another complex, relationship-driven industry strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated success developing and leading integrated business-to-business marketing strategies that contribute to organizational growth required.

  • Strong commercial orientation and understanding of the relationship among brand, demand generation, Sales, pipeline, and growth required.

  • Experience improving prospect journeys, demand-generation programs, and alignment between Marketing and Sales required.
