To provide robust financial support to the Group Leadership Team, in particular US Chief Commercial Officer, the Deputy Group CFO and the Group CFO. To provide timely, effective and efficient financial information to key stakeholders to enable monitoring of financial performance and assist in provision of financial and commercial data for the purposes of business decision making. To work closely with the organisation on key projects including developing the existing business, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of operating models, external M&A projects, and new product launches. This position will report to the Deputy Group CFO (based in Paris, France), and have extensive interaction with the Group CFO. As the VP, Finance some of your responsibilities will include:
Responsibility and ownership of all aspects of Finance for the US organisation, including reporting, accounting, tax, treasury and business planning. Play a key role in challenging, defining and executing business strategy, including the support of BD activity. Provide business colleagues with timely and accurate business financial information. Support the efficient and effective operations of US operations, covering all financial aspects of contracting, pricing and market access activities of the Company. Provide technical accounting input into commercial arrangements to ensure that both commercial and accounting considerations are thoroughly thought through and optimized, working with Group Finance as appropriate to document accounting treatments for unusual, high-value or long-term arrangements. Manage a team of finance professionals in the US, based in Conshohocken, PA. (currently 4, with growth planned) Ensuring that all interactions and engagements are carried out with the highest ethical and professional
standards and that all work is accomplished with quality and in accordance with our values. Liaison with external auditors and professional advisory firms (eg. Tax consultants) Carry out other reasonable tasks as required by the Line Manager. This description may be varied from time to time to reflect changing business requirements. To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate:
Education and Experience Required Qualified CPA Minimum 15 years of experience in Finance, including a Regional Controller role, covering both Accounting and FP&A International Group experience, including being managed remotely, at ease working across time zones Pharmaceutical industry experience Extensive planning and forecasting experience First class Excel and PowerPoint skills Private Equity-backed company experience M&A experience, post-acquisition integration and due diligence experience (both buy-side and sell-side) Experience of ERP systems migration Skills and Attributes Good influencer, able and willing to drive change. Ability to communicate and network effectively (verbal and written) across all functions and throughout the Company, including with colleagues in Europe. Strong analytical and planning skills, high standards of accuracy and precision, strong eye for detail High level of initiative; organized, driven and self-motivated; ability to roll up sleeves and work with team. Ability to work in a continuously changing business environment, at ease with ambiguity. Confident in the role of a primary point of contact with local banks, auditors, tax advisors, and miscellaneous Finance service providers. Company Benefits:
