Job Description - VP, Human Resources

We are currently looking for a VP, Human Resources to join our team.


Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the VP, Human Resources, is responsible for providing strategic and operational Human Resource (HR) leadership with the goal of aligning human resource initiatives with enterprise and business unit strategies. The position drives initiatives and core HR processes with a hands-on, consultative approach. The VP, Human Resources is a key point of contact, trusted advisor, and sounding board for the business leadership team.


This role is accountable for developing and executing Human Resource programs and initiatives in a dynamic environment while advocating the use of best practices and progressive, cost-effective methodologies. The VP, Human Resources leads a team of HR Business Partners and Specialists with direct responsibility for Onboarding, Employee Relations, Employee Investigations, HR & Workplace Policies, Leave Management, Performance Management, Retention, and Separations from the Company. Responsibilities include HR compliance, data integrity, reporting, measures and metrics for HR processes and programs associated with the life cycle of an employee.


The VP, Human Resources consults and collaborates across the HR Function on enterprise initiatives, providing a depth of expertise and a broad organizational perspective to ensure consistency and alignment to the company’s goals, culture, values, and future organizational requirements. The position manages and mentors the HR Business Partner Team, providing training, coaching, guidance, and transfer of expertise to deepen the knowledge and skill base of the Human Resource organization overall.


Keys to success in this position are the ability to balance strategic planning with real-time execution, effective influencing skills, and strong business/ financial acumen. A broad base of experience across Human Resources is required. The contributions and outcomes from this role and the HR Business Partner Team will underpin all facets of the employee life cycle and inform strategies to evolve and enhance the employee experience and culture at Fay.


Qualifications include:



  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related field required; MBA or Master’s degree preferred

  • 10+ years’ progressive experience in Human Resources in a business partner capacity to include developing and leading core HR processes

  • 7+ years’ experience managing people/ leading teams to include the acquisition and allocation of resources, performance management, and talent development

  • Direct experience supporting diverse business functions; financial services industry experience preferred

  • Previous experience driving change within small to mid-size companies preferred

  • Prior experience leading policy development and process/ workflow reviews

  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated experience leading initiatives across a distributed organization structure, requiring effective management of diverse stakeholders

  • Thorough knowledge of federal/ state employment laws and regulatory requirements

  • Depth of experience with HRIS platforms, ADP/ UltiPro/ UKG HRIS experience a plus

  • Strong skills and experience in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong technical and financial acumen

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; effective presentation and facilitation skills

  • Strength of leadership with proven ability to foster an environment of positive employee engagement and trust

  • Executive maturity with demonstrated ability to quickly establish credibility; coupled with for recognize and support the organization’s culture, values, and priorities

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships across the organization to influence and drive required results

  • Effective management skills in talent selection, training, coaching, mentorship, and performance management

  • Collaborative and consultative work style; motivated by the success of the team vs. oneself

  • Able to manage and lead change, agile, and high learning agility

  • Client-focused with strong execution skills and a results orientation

  • Strong analytical skills coupled with sound judgement, strong problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to identify opportunities and propose solutions

  • Strong attention to detail; strong quality and compliance orientation; experience identifying and implementing quality measures and controls

  • Ability to effectively prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; effective time management for self and team, ensuring delivery of multiple projects concurrently

  • Self-directed; ability to proactively surface questions, opportunities, issues, and concerns

  • Professional maturity, integrity, ability to maintain confidential data and information

  • Strong business acumen; strong fiscal and technical aptitude

Compensation



  • The hiring range for this position is between $150,000.00-$180,000.00 annually

  • This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
