VP Investment Banking

*In office 5 days/week in Baltimore

CSP's Real Estate & Financial Services practice has been engaged on a VP, Investment Banking search for a boutique firm located in Baltimore. This position works closely with and supports the Managing Directors, Directors, and Vice Presidents of the firm. The role focuses on the investment banking practice, supporting deal execution, due diligence, modeling, and analysis on transactions. It also supports the firm’s business development and marketing activities, as well as strategic and operational initiatives, with significant direct client interaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Investment Banking Mandates: Assist clients with Buy & Sell-Side M&A advisory and Capital raising mandates, in addition to providing financial modeling and other advisory services.
Deal Execution: Support senior staff in preparing financial projections and business valuations, including DCF modeling, comparable company and transaction multiple analyses, leveraged buyout analysis, and other financial models necessary for transaction processes and strategic relationships.
Document Preparation: Prepare thoughtful and compelling PowerPoint-based Information Memorandums, presentations, and marketing documents.
Due Diligence: Conduct and facilitate due diligence for sell-side and buy-side transactions.
Marketing and Analysis: Develop marketing documents and analyses to support transaction execution and conduct industry research and company analysis.
Client Interaction: Interact with clients on transactional and technical issues, providing support and maintaining strong client relationships.
Database Management: Maintain internal sources of information and databases.
Buyer and Investor Outreach: Assist in identifying and reaching out to potential buyers and investors.
Multiple Projects: Manage multiple transactions, business development initiatives, and internal projects simultaneously.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 4 years of investment banking experience at a reputable investment bank or M&A advisory firm.
Education: Degree from an accredited undergraduate business program, with a concentration in finance or accounting required. MBA preferred but not a prerequisite.
Skills:
Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills.
Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
