VP Mortgage Loan Originator

Position Summary:  

To originate permanent consumer real estate loans. This position will actively work with lender referrals to originate and service loans as needed. This position will need to know how to process, originate, underwrite, and close loans.    

Major Duties & Accountabilities:

• Take part in and embrace the Legacy Culture by giving outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Work with internal referral sources to originate and service consumer real estate loans as needed.
• Visit real estate offices, complete cold calls and attend industry events to expand network and increase external referrals.  
• Create an amicable relationship with real estate agents and be present at real estate functions
• Interview and take applications from prospective mortgage loan customers.
• Maintain client files after discussing with a borrower, evaluate their credit and guide them through the process of application
• Price loans according to established parameters.
• Make proper disclosure to all consumer mortgage applicants by abiding by all federal mortgage disclosure requirements.
• Accountable to ensure proper documentation for all approved and closed loan files and follow-up to collect necessary documentation post funding.
• Work with third party vendors to coordinate loans.
• All other duties as assigned.  

Required:

• 21 years of age.  
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.  
• Minimum of 7 years in lending.   

Preferred:

• Previous mortgage lending experience.
• Previous experience processing TRID loans.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
