About the Role
The Company, a global developer and marketer of high-quality audio solutions, is seeking a VP of Multimodal Experiences to lead the research division's initiatives in the lifecycle of immersive media. This role is pivotal in driving the advancement of technologies related to Augmented Reality, eXtended Reality, Virtual Reality, alternate/meta-verses, gaming, and other next-generation media and interactive experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing both short-term and long-term vision for research initiatives, influencing global research leadership, and partnering with ATG leadership to attract, mentor, and nurture research talent. The VP will also be expected to initiate new research projects, participate in global leadership activities, and become a thought leader in the field of multimodal experiences.To succeed in this role, the candidate must possess a Ph.D. in signal processing, computer science, or related areas, with a minimum of 15+ years of experience in research or engineering. They should have a strong publication record in areas such as Image and Audio processing, AR, VR, XR, gaming, natural language processing, computer vision & pattern recognition, decision support systems, machine learning and AI, data mining, and information retrieval and visualization. The ideal candidate will be a visionary, thought leader, and mentor, with the ability to take bold initiatives, solve hard problems, and influence both technology and business leaders. Strong analytical, mathematical modeling, optimization, and software skills are essential, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
