Job Description - VP of Business Development

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities, including partnerships, collaborations, and new markets.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers.
Lead the negotiation and execution of contracts, agreements, and partnerships.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of business objectives and execution of initiatives.
Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
Provide regular reporting and analysis on business development activities, outcomes, and ROI.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the healthcare or life sciences industry.
Proven track record of successfully driving revenue growth and closing complex deals.
Strong understanding of laboratory diagnostics, molecular research, or related fields is highly desirable.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a startup or entrepreneurial environment.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the healthcare industry.
Existing network of contacts within the healthcare or life sciences ecosystem.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities and team-building skills.
