Position Summary:


Unison Health is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Clinical Outpatient Services to provide strategic leadership and oversight for our outpatient behavioral health programs. This executive leader will oversee clinical and operational performance across multiple outpatient service lines and locations, drive strategic growth, ensure regulatory compliance, manage program budgets, and lead quality improvement initiatives to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care. The Vice President will cultivate strong relationships with physicians, community partners, referral sources, and other stakeholders while fostering collaboration and innovation across multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, visionary, and results-oriented leader with at least five years of Director-level leadership experience in behavioral health or healthcare. Professional licensure as an LISW, LPCC, Psychologist, or RN. Experience leading outpatient behavioral health services, developing clinical programs, and driving operational and financial performance is highly desirable. Travel throughout Northwest Ohio is required.


Key Responsibilities & Role Highlights:



  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for outpatient programs serving youth and adults across multiple locations.

  • Direct Clinical and Business operations, ensuring compliance with agency policies, standards and guidelines.

  • Plan, manage and optimize operational infrastructure, including facilities, information systems and service delivery to support growth and evolving needs.

  • Develop and manage program budgets, monitor financial performance and ensure fiscal accountability across all supervised areas.

  • Lead, mentor and hold staff accountable while ensuring qualified personnel, strong performance standards and effective policy implementation.

  • Manage, negotiate agency contracts, partnerships and funding opportunities, including collaboration with payers and community stakeholders.

  • Support strategic planning, business development and community engagement, representing the agency with boards, partners and regional organizations while maintaining a flexible schedule with travel across Northwest Ohio. 


Education & Experience Requirements:



  • Clinical License required.  LPCC, LISW, LPCC, LISW-S.

  • Requires CPR 90 days following hire.

  • Requires CPI 90 days following hire. 

  • Must possess at least 5 years of multi-department managerial experience including experience in the departments listed, preferably in a healthcare setting.    

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license as work is performed at various locations.     

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays due to position demands and 24-hour responsibility for agency operations.  

  • Must have a thorough understanding of the laws and rules affecting mental health and primary care providers. 

  • Must show personal integrity, the ability to develop and work as part of a team, and commitment to the agency's mission. 

  • Must be skilled in budget and resource development and strategic planning.  

  • Must demonstrate the ability to work within the community physical and mental health systems. 

  • Must demonstrate the ability to define problems, analyze data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make recommendations.    

  • Must establish and maintain effective working relationships, including the ability to communicate, inspire and motivate others.  This includes relationships within the agency and externally.   

  • Must be able to work with populations served.
