RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for all market sectors
● Perform both structural design and analysis calculations for structural steel, concrete,
masonry, timber, aluminum, and light-gauge steel
● Interact with architects, engineers, contractors, fabricators, owners, and clients
● Provide direct onsite engineering assessments and field observations
● Resolve design and construction conflicts through construction administration
● Manage and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering
10+ years of professional experience as an engineer with a focus on the design of structural
infrastructure
Professional Engineering (PE) license
Knowledge of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) steel manual, American
Concrete Institute (ACI) code 318, American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) 7, and
International Building Code (IBC)
Experience with Revit and AutoCAD
Experience with RAM Elements, STAAD Pro, RISA-3D, Etabs, or similar analysis software
Advanced Structural Engineering: FEA, post-tensioning, progressive collapse, blast analysis/design
Knowledge of processes of governing permitting agencies such as building departments and/or environmental agencies
Understanding of other disciplines such as: architecture, site civil, mechanical, electrical, piping, fire protection, geotechnical, surveying, and environmental
Experience with project management of major construction projects including estimating, cost control, schedule, and contractor
