VP of Operations, Print Manufacturing - Rewarding Work

Job Summary: Oversee the Estimating, Outsourcing and Mechanical Engineering Departments including overall responsibility for Job Planning, Capacity Planning, Equipment Purchasing, Workflow Engineering and Vendor Management. This role requires traveling up to 50% of the time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and oversight to all levels within the Department.
• Ensure that all work and processes are in conformity with the organization’s established policies and objectives.
• Sustain effective communication of organizational objectives, priorities, and policy through regular meetings with the Department. Establish and monitor key performance indicators for evaluating performance.
• Provide a high level of technical expertise to support strategic growth objectives through the development of new capabilities and increasing the company’s core manufacturing competencies to foster the expansion of existing and related product offerings.
• Engage and work collaboratively with the leadership team and demonstrate accountability in such a way that your participation increases the overall performance and effectiveness of the team.
• Promote and sustain policy and a culture consistent with the organization’s values and initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Knowledgeable of all aspects of the printing, mailing, fulfillment and inventory processes, including sheet-fed, web, digital and inserting.
• Possess strong aptitude and understanding of the functional operations of mechanical devices and machines.
• Ability to generate creative ideas and facilitate the design of equipment around specialized processes.
• Have the ability and experience to work with machine vendors from design inception through price quotations, machine build and final installation.
• Demonstrate strong math, accounting, computer and analytic skills.
• Must be detail oriented, very time efficient, and meets deadlines under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, problem solving, and leadership skills.
• Professional demeanor required, will be dealing directly with customers as well as sales personnel.
• Excellent administrative and computer skills.
• Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
• Bachelor’s Degree - Engineering background a plus.
