VP of Quality Assurance

As the VP of QA, you will be responsible for the effectiveness, efficiency, and financial accountability of our Quality Assurance and Quality Control

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead & Inspire: Set the vision and direction for the QA team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Regulatory Expertise: Stay ahead of USDA, FDA, and OSHA regulations, and guide the organization in compliance and best practices.
• Continuous Improvement: Analyze QA data, identify root causes, and implement innovative solutions to enhance product quality and safety.
• Customer & Sales Collaboration: Ensure timely and effective communication with customers and sales teams regarding food safety and quality.
• Budget Oversight: Develop and manage the QA department’s annual budget in alignment with company goals.
• Strategic Reporting: Generate and analyze reports to support data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or related field
• Extensive knowledge of USDA, FDA, and OSHA 1910 regulations
• Proven leadership in food manufacturing and quality assurance

Preferred:

• Master’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or Business Administration
• 15+ years in food manufacturing with executive-level QA experience
• Experience leading multi-site QA teams and participating in board meetings
