POSITION SPECIFICATION

VICE PRESIDENT, PERFORMANCE & ANALYTICS

Shine Associates, LLC has been retained to search, identify and recruit a Vice President of Performance and Analytics on behalf of our client (‘Company’). This person will work closely with the SVP of Accounting and the CFO. This candidate will be located in the Boston, MA office.

CLIENT DESCRIPTION
Our client is a privately held and vertically-integrated real estate company that develops, owns, and operates a portfolio of multifamily, industrial, and mixed-use developments.

With corporate offices in Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, New York, and San Francisco, and over 1,100 employees, the Firm is an experienced real estate private equity investor and manager supported by an integrated operating platform and has 63 years of experience across multiple asset classes. The Company’s current asset under management is approximately $29.7 billion.

Since inception, our client has developed, managed, or acquired over 95,000 residential units and 32.5 million square feet of commercial space. The current portfolio includes over 53,000 residential units, 1.1 million square feet of retail and office space, and 25.5 million square feet of industrial space located in 33 markets.
VICE PRESIDENT, PERFORMANCE & ANALYTICS
The Vice President of Performance & Analytics is responsible for the performance reporting for the Firm’s open-end funds, joint ventures, and separate accounts within Multifamily, Industrial, Credit and Development businesses.

The position will partner with the Portfolio Management teams, Accounting, Investor Relations, Compliance and IT to design, implement, and maintain the system architecture and polices that ensure the accurate and timely reporting of fund performance to internal stakeholders.

The Vice President of Performance & Analytics will be integral to delivering the needed performance data to support the firm’s capital raising and reporting efforts that will include responses to Due Diligence Questionnaires, Request for Proposals, marketing materials and other ad hoc requests from both prospective and existing investors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the oversight and design of internal controls around automated performance generation.
Responsible for coordinating the quarterly delivery of the Company’s AUM report and ensuring its accuracy.
Report and track Firm vehicle performance against various benchmarks.
Cross-collaboration with Investor Relations and Compliance on investor inquiries related to performance, track record and portfolio operations.
Proactively review and validate investment performance and ensure data integrity for all Company’s investment vehicles.
Oversee the documentation of internal performance calculation policies and monitor compliance across funds.
Other ad hoc projects as required related to performance data.
