Position Overview
This position will provide oversight of retail branch-related facility projects including restoration, remediation, renovation, and large-scale repair. In addition, this management position will provide guidance and leadership of environmental services such as stormwater control measures and retaining walls at retail branch locations.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and support staff in the Restoration and Environmental Services department within Facilities Services. Develop and provide training to ensure ongoing staff development. Work with leadership throughout Facilities Services to cultivate strategy and provide standards that can be used at all branch locations. Recommend, review, and approve requests for scope of work and invoice approval.
- Work with architects, engineers, general contractors, restoration companies, furniture and demountable vendors, and other external parties to manage projects related to branch renovation, modification, remediation, and site enhancement. Research needed permits as well as all federal, state, and municipality requirements to ensure all work meets codes associated with building and ADA requirements.
- Support junior staff members on site reviews for risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies. Develop and maintain vendor standards and serve as a consultant to ensure standards are followed at all branch locations. Assist with on-call needs and projects that takes place after normal business hours.
- Oversee environmental and structural testing for asbestos, lead, soil compaction, organic growth and other VOCs. Responsible for overseeing multiple complex projects with various degrees of difficulty that require multiple disciplines (structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, etc.), including stormwater control measures, parking lots, remediations/restorations, and branch renovations. Oversee project scopes, budgets, and timeslines that represent all interested parties including architects, engineers, contractors, and sub vendors.
- Research best practices and trends related to branch design and project implementation. Coordinate with vendors and other departments to maximize branch design and functionality while reinforcing the SECU brand.
- Develop and maintain a positive rapport with branch leadership and internal departments, working together to meet the ongoing facility needs of each branch site. Create policies and procedures for facility management for branches. Develop standards that can be used throughout the department.

Qualifications
Required Education: Associates Degree
Additional three years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu of degree

Required Knowledge, Abilities, Skills
- Relevant experience in facility management or construction renovation, preferably related to financial services.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to provide training and lead team meetings.
- Ability to review, understand, and respond to construction documents and scope of work.
- Ability to perform project management.
- Ability to work within approved fiscal budget.
- Maintain the highest level of integrity at all times.
- Ability to travel throughout the state of North Carolina.
