The **VP, Retail National Accounts & Independent/Small chains Pricing** will serve as the key financial leader over the performance of the Retail segment, including Retail National Accounts (RNA) and Independent (ISMC) accounts. This role will emphasize Business Partnership, Pricing Strategies, , Margin Optimization, and meaningful leadership over the Segment P&Ls.
The role will report directly to the PSAS SVP of Pricing. The role will also be a key **Business Partner** to Retail Business Leaders, including Leadership Team members.
This role will involve **Pricing** responsibilities, and as such this role will be responsible for setting the pricing strategy and profitability of ~$120B portfolio across Retail National Accounts and Independent/Small chains. They will drive profitability through pricing proposals for customer renewals and new customer wins. Ensure that pricing proposals and models align with strategic business objectives. Identify profit leaks and recommend solutions. Provide and review customer proposals with senior leadership and explain key risks and opportunities.

Determine strategy for pricing the OneStop Gx portfolio. Analyze and rationalize price changes to drive increased sales and profitability.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Demonstrate considerable personal responsibility and financial leadership for Retail Segment financial performance, driving teams towards meeting and exceeding the segments financial goals, including Operating Profit and Cash Flow targets
* Lead the development of innovative pricing models in response to changing business economics and sell-side pressures, driving profitable growth and safeguarding business economics.
* Influence business partners in driving toward company financial objectives. Collaborates with stakeholders to identify meaningful alternatives to traditional pricing models.
* Oversee item level pricing of the OneStop generics portfolio, balancing competitive market pricing and unit level clawback while maximizing profitability.
* Cultivate and maintain relationships with the CFO and COO of PS&S, business segment president and leadership team members, and key Finance leaders for review and approval of deals to influence decision making.
* Provide leadership to a team of direct reports in a faced-paced environment in response to changing business needs and priorities. Provide mentorship, guidance, and career development
* Work with Gx Sell-Side, Pricing and Analytics functions to implement initiatives to increase compliance and unit/topline growth. Lead and monitor success of Generics Compliance Programs; identify opportunities to improve customer compliance programs as needed
* Develop and maintain working relationships and leadership role with business professionals within PSAS and across the McKesson enterprise, to ensure communication of and action on significant events within the business. Also, expand knowledge of through this dialogue to make recommendations and share information across the business.
**Minimum Job Qualifications:**
* A total of 15 years of professional work experience
* 7 or more years managerial experience
**Critical Skills:**
* 12+ years of relevant finance experience, preferably in a Fortune 100 company
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
