VPK Teacher -The Young Children's Academy

POSITION SUMMARY:

The VPK Teacher, (Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten) prepares early learners for success in kindergarten and beyond. VPK helps build a strong foundation for school using educational material corresponding to various stages in a child's development. The VPK Lead Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing 4-year old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the program.

 As a Lead VPK Teacher, you’ll:

• Develop fun, interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow Teachers.
• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the preschool children in your class.
• Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation and VPK program requirements.
• Build sincere relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote achievement for the child and to support your student’s success.

We are looking for energetic, dependable, passionate individuals who are at least 21 and have:

• CDA, Associates degree or higher in education or Florida Child Care Professional Certificate
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans
• The ability to meet state requirements for education and our childcare center requirements.
• The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
