VTC Engineer II (journeyman)

QBE is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented VTC Engineer II (Journeyman) to join our team in Doral, FL.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• The VTC Engineer II supports the design, implementation, maintenance, and availability of video teleconferencing (VTC) systems and infrastructure
• They possess a working knowledge of VTC technologies, endpoints, and network connectivity
• They actively participate in troubleshooting system issues, resolving user problems, and implementing system upgrades
• They contribute to the development and maintenance of system documentation and assist in the implementation of VTC strategies and policies under the guidance of Senior Engineers
• They also work with vendors to resolve technical issues and stay current with emerging VTC technologies and trends
• The VTC Engineer II receives guidance and direction from more senior staff
• clearance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA/BS Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related discipline/ field necessary to assume VTC Engineer II duties and a minimum of 4 years of relevant VTC Engineer II experience.
•           High School and 4 years of additional experience or Associate's Degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required Bachelor's degree
•            A relevant Master’s degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for that extra education. A relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years’ experience credit for that extra education
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting voice systems. 

Desired Qualifications:

• Four years of position-specific relevant experience.
• Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must be eligible for or have a current/active Secret Eligible
