VTC Facilitator (Video Teleconferencing Facilities) JMC

Aleknagik Technology, LLC (ATL) is seeking a VTC Facilitator (Video Teleconferencing Facilities) in Rock Island, IL to provide the following:

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Video Teleconference (VTC) Technical Facilitator to support mission-critical audio and video teleconferencing operations in a secure Department of Defense environment. This position is responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of secure and non-secure VTC systems, ensuring reliable communication services for government customers.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting enterprise VTC environments, strong audiovisual troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot secure and non-secure VTC systems.


• Configure, test, and support IP, LAN, and ISDN-based video teleconferencing equipment.


• Perform pre-meeting testing, dry runs, and provide technical support during live conferences.


• Install, configure, and maintain audiovisual equipment including cameras, displays, microphones, speakers, projectors, and presentation systems.


• Monitor conference performance and quickly resolve audio, video, and connectivity issues.


• Provide end-user training and create operational guides and documentation.


• Support remote network management and troubleshoot network connectivity issues.


• Maintain conference room computers, peripherals, and associated equipment.


• Coordinate with internal teams and external sites to ensure successful conference scheduling and connectivity.


• Perform preventive maintenance, inventory management, and site logistics.


• Assist Project Managers and Engineers as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree and at least 2 years of telecommunications or VTC experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.


• Experience supporting large-scale voice, video teleconferencing, and telecommunications systems.


• Knowledge of audiovisual systems including cameras, displays, microphones, speakers, and echo cancellation systems.


• Experience with VTC hardware such as Polycom, Cisco, Tandberg, or similar platforms.


• Familiarity with Crestron control systems.


• Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.


• Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) communications environments.


• Experience with secure command and control VTC systems.


• Knowledge of cryptologic equipment and secure communications.


• Experience performing end-to-end testing of military Command, Control, and Communications (C3) VTC circuits.

Required Certifications

Candidates must possess at least one of the following certifications:

• CompTIA A+


• CompTIA Network+


• CompTIA Security+


• SSCP


• CCNA Security

CE certification must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.

Security Clearance

• Must possess Active Secret Security Clearance.


• U.S. Citizenship required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk extensively throughout the workday.


• Ability to lift and move audiovisual equipment as needed.


• Comfortable setting up speakers, microphones, displays, and other conference room equipment.
