Vulcanizing Technician

Description

 Sullivan Tire, an employee-owned company, has an opportunity for a Vulcanizing Technician. As a Vulcanizing Technician, you are responsible for meeting the quality and production levels for production work in the repair plant while adhering to safety and training rules/regulations. You will work as part of a team to ensure that sales, unit, quality, and productivity objectives are achieved for assigned retread plant. Adheres to internal controls, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Performs production work in any one of the vulcanizing workstations of the repair plant.
• Meets quality and production level objectives for assigned production work.
• Deliver quality work on time, every time to the customers to ensure long-term growth in sales/service and profits. 
• Assist drivers in loading and unloading product. 
• Responsible for the safe operation of equipment and holds required certifications.
• Maintains a safe and clean work area. In compliance with all operational and safety procedures (i.e. OSHA rules, quality and repair guidelines, and filing timely paperwork). 
• Assumes other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

Education/Experience:

• Minimum of a high school diploma.  
• TIA certification, Bandag CRTP certification and Forklift certified required. 

Skills/Knowledge:

• Attention to detail
• Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Certified Sullivan Commercial training
