The Staten Island Workforce1 Career Center is partnering with River Dock Cafe to find qualified candidates for a Waitstaff position in Staten Island, New York. River Dock Cafe is a full-service restaurant offering a waterfront dining experience featuring seafood, drinks, and casual dining service. The restaurant is committed to providing quality food, excellent customer service, and a welcoming atmosphere for guests. The Wait Staff is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience. This role takes food and beverage orders, serves meals and drinks, processes payments, and responds to guest requests. The position also supports the cleanliness and organization of the dining area while working closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff. The Wait Staff plays an important role in delivering efficient service and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. 

The position is located in Staten Island, New York.

• Greet guests and provide friendly customer service
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter orders into the POS system
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining table presentation
• Answer menu questions and address guest requests or concerns
• Process payments, handle cash and card transactions, and provide accurate change
• Maintain clean tables and dining areas while following food safety standards
• Work collaboratively with team members in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Stand for extended periods and safely carry trays, dishes, and supplies

• Minimum of 1 year of waitstaff or restaurant service experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multitasking
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift/carry trays, food, and supplies safely
• Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
• Knowledge of food safety, order accuracy, and restaurant procedures
• Experience using POS systems and handling payments preferred
