JOB SUMMARY
Provides efficient, courteous and attentive service to the residents and their guests. Maintains the service areas of the Dining Rooms and Private Dining Room. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Dining Room Host / Hostess or Dinning Services Manager.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Attending high school or more. Given that the Royal Oaks Wait Staff position requires staffing flexibility in the number of hours worked per week it is necessary that the wait staff be a minimum age of 16 years of age.
Licensure: None
Experience: No experience required.
Skills: Ability to work well with people and follow directions. To be dependable and responsible.
Work in clean, well-lit, heated and ventilated dining room and kitchen. Subject to extreme temperature changes for example, heat/ steam from cooking and cold from walk-in refrigerator / freezer. Subject to chemical hazard and infectious waste. Possibility of injury (cuts, bruises and burns) from operation of equipment.
Operates various kitchen equipment (coffee machine, knives, soup warmers and bread warmers). Stops, pushes, pulls and bends regularly. Lifts food / supplies of various weights up to and including a minimum of 50 pounds (i.e., banquet tables). Standing / walking for long periods of time. Maintains effective verbal and written communications with residents, staff and co-workers. Adheres to the uniform policy.
