Job Description:
The Manager, Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) independently conducts HEOR projects including economic modeling, real world evidence research and patient-reported outcomes research. Manages outside vendors with minimal supervision to work collaboratively with internal cross-functional team members to develop and execute HEOR strategies and objectives, and present results at internal meetings or external conferences.Contributes to new health & wellness product prioritization, development, and launch by providing strategic and tactical input on evidence generation and market access.Develops and executes HEOR strategies that demonstrate product value and that support product reimbursement and market access for new health & wellness products and services. Designs and executes outcomes studies that demonstrate the value of new health & wellness products and services

Job Responsibilities:

Participates in drafting reports on study results. Prepares and submits articles and authors/co-authors manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals and/or presentation at national conferences.

Prepares abstracts, and posters for presentations at national conferences.

Maintains in-depth expertise in at least one area of departmental focus by reading current research, attending conferences, etc., and acts as department go-to resource for at least one technical area.

Provides analytic support to develop, validate, and document methodologies and solutions to demonstrate the value of clinical products and services through baseline analysis, pilot studies, and clinical and financial value assessment. Prepare articles for peer-reviewed publication and presentations for external audiences.

This position requires capabilities in one or more of: epidemiology, biostatistics, outcomes measurement, actuarial science, and project management.

Develops and mentors staff through on-boarding, open communication, training & development opportunities, and performance management processes. Helps build and maintain employee morale and motivation. Fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace. Supports performance, goal setting, and employee development.

Manages outside consultants and vendors with minimal supervision and works collaboratively with internal cross-functional team members to develop and execute HEOR strategies and objectives, and presents results at internal meetings or external conferences.

Contributes to new health & wellness product prioritization, development, and launch by providing strategic and tactical input on evidence generation and market access.

Provides HEOR expertise on studies to demonstrate product value and generate real world evidence; on market access and product reimbursement for new health & wellness products; and on value-based reimbursement and outcomes.

Performs research and analyses of health outcomes to demonstrate the value of new health & wellness products and services. Applies research/analysis techniques and methodologies to healthcare data. Prepares summaries of research and makes recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.

Develops and executes HEOR strategies that demonstrate product value and that support product reimbursement and market access for new health & wellness products and services. Designs and executes outcomes studies that demonstrate the value of new health & wellness products and services. Interacts with cross-functional team members as well as external consultants and vendors to develop and deliver HEOR studies. Manages, on a project basis, cross-functional teams to execute and deliver research.

Works with cross-functional project teams to plan and execute research studies. Manages project teams to deliver on goals and objectives. Coaches and mentors team members to increase productivity and knowledge base of department staff.

Acts as consultant to external and internal stakeholders to assess client problems, suggest solutions, study outcomes, and provide recommendations related to products and programs. Provides presentations and consultations to existing and prospective constituents on information services, capabilities, and outcomes. Establishes consulting relationships with internal and external clients and is viewed as a “go-to” person for clients.
