Description

The Walmart Customer Sales Manager (CSM) position perfectly embodies that ambition- as you will own & be responsible for Salty Snacks category and other new businesses selling execution a specific revenue with the designee Walmart Division as a vital member of the Walmart Business Team at Barcel USA. The CSM serves as the liaison between Barcel USA and the Walmart divisional and regional team- leading all selling activities & driving efforts tied to growing sales and market share. The CSM aims to deliver revenue and share objectives- pursue business strategies to of growth- provide category management expertise- and ensure that coordinated cross-functional sales value is delivered to the customer through implementation of the sales plan and shelving objectives.

Description

Primary responsibilities include leading the company's efforts to grow volume and profit in the Walmart account territory assigned. Responsible for achieving sales goals and strategic objectives within his/her customers and territory. Effectively manage the relationship with customers in the area assigned, lead negotiations and influence alignment with Barcel account strategic plan while working collaborative with other key positions in the company to influence and orientate distributor partners that provide service to such customers. Analyzes business environment to secure and influence the execution of national

strategic plans.

What Will I Be Doing
Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel at assigned customers at all levels.
Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customer's expectations.
Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts for all brands/categories
Proactively assesses, clarifies and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
Deliver annual volume plan
On-going analysis and review of business trends to identify gaps to plan and execution for all brands/categories
Actively participate in Annual Planning and Forecast process in collaboration with National Account Team.
Actively coordinates and ensures value of customer division business review sessions using relevant fact-based selling
Drives execution of account programming by collaborating with divisional head quarter contacts and appropriate Operation Sales teams for all brands/categories
Take lead on growth initiatives understanding overall category and competitive trends.
Maintain accurate performance information of customers.
Develop the tactics and resources plan for initiatives to ensure effective execution and communication plan of action to all stakeholders.
Ensure all promotions are accompanied by effective POS and incremental displays.
Aggressively sell price programs by utilizing best practices and available tools. Customize presentations to better appeal to customer's needs. Evaluate ROI to ensure all promotions are within company TPR guardrails.
Establishes "Wiring Model" that ensures communication with all account chain decision makers.
Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications Education Business: Administration, Marketing Bachelors and/or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5-7 years of strategic sales experience: preferably with a consumer-packaged goods organization
Experience working with 3rd party, Direct Sales Distribution (DSD), and CDC Warehouse GTM (Preferable)
Proficient in IRI, Retail Link, Nielsen data
Knowledgeable of Warehouse replenishment programs and supply chain requirements.
Frequently participated in successful strategic joint business planning sessions with major regional & national CPG retail accounts
Able to influence external and internal costumer and work effectively in cross-functional environment.
Proven track record of effective trade expense management
Demonstrated skillful negotiation capability with Buyers and Senior Buyers in the Grocery Retail CPG industry
Ability to create effective and dynamic presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
Travel: Domestic up to 75%
Expected Experience & Required Skills Winning attitude with a strategical growth mindset.
Proven & tested experience in customer management- account management- and/or retail sales management for a CPG company
Tested ability to own business process and Category management through a complex Sales position where you owned a desk of at least $50M of net revenue
Proven skills embodying a customer-first mentality for effective customer management and selling to achieve objectives
Trusted to work autonomously within a Customer Business framework to plan- organize and set/achieve priorities
Clear examples of exhibiting polished interpersonal skills (written- verbal- and presentation) with potential to negotiate and influence effectively
Tested proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, Retail Link, IRI, etc.
Clear examples of exhibiting strong analytical skills; Has the ability & experience using syndicated and/or ambiguous data to develop comprehensive business plans by analyzing category and brand performance and influences customer to achieve category objectives.
Other Relevant Skills Highly motivated individual with excellent communication, negotiation, influencing and follow up skills
Seasoned in conflict management
Solid understanding of financials including P&L impact of sales decisions
Proven leadership capability with a track record of leading and influencing large multi-level and or cross functional teams.

This position is considered a Field based environment; role requires frequent travel to customer offices, stores, etc.

Operate a computer and view screens for ~100% of work schedule
