The Stylist will play a pivotal role in enhancing the creative process by managing all aspects of wardrobe planning, sourcing, and coordination for Zumba’s video and photo productions, ensuring that all wardrobe choices consistently align with Zumba’s brand identity from concept to execution. This role will streamline the creative workflow by taking on critical responsibilities such as wardrobe proposal creation, item sourcing, and coordination with creative leads, production, and business partners. Additionally, the stylist will manage wardrobe adjustments and oversee post-shoot inventory and returns, ensuring that wardrobe tasks are handled smoothly and efficiently across multiple projects, maintaining brand consistency throughout.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and present wardrobe proposals aligned with Zumba's brand vision.
Source items from ZumbaWear.com and other online/local stores, ensuring selections meet quality and branding standards.
Monitor and manage item availability, place corporate purchase orders for wardrobe items, and coordinate order tracking with production to meet shoot schedules.
Maintain an organized system for tracking wardrobe pieces across multiple projects.
Collaborate closely with creative leads and production to align wardrobe availability with talent schedules, and manage any last-minute changes to ensure smooth integration with shoot plans.
Prep all wardrobe items in advance of shoots, ensuring everything is labeled, organized, and ready.
Provide on-site support during fittings and shoot days, making adjustments as needed.
Maintain inventory records, manage wardrobe inventory during production, and oversee returns to suppliers post-shoot. Track all items to ensure proper handling and minimize losses.
Adapt wardrobe selections based on talent changes or specific on-set needs. Make timely adjustments in coordination with the creative and production teams to maintain production flow.
Track and manage wardrobe budgets for each production or project, ensuring costs remain within allocated budgets including post-production budget reconciliations.
Collaborate with the creative and production teams to understand the project’s styling needs and vision.
Prepare wardrobe pieces in advance, ensuring all items are steamed, organized, and complete with necessary accessories.
Style and dress talent on set, making adjustments as needed to ensure a polished, camera-ready look that aligns with the intended aesthetic.
Anticipate and resolve styling issues on set, including addressing garment fit, securing accessories, and maintaining continuity in styling across scenes.
Adapt styling in real-time to meet creative direction changes or unexpected wardrobe needs.
Work within the designated wardrobe budget for each project, sourcing and adjusting wardrobe items to remain within financial constraints.
Coordinate with wardrobe assistants, costume designers, and/or the production team to source or substitute wardrobe items as needed, ensuring quality and timeliness.
Track and report final wardrobe costs, noting any significant budgetary variances for review.
Stay informed of current fashion trends and industry practices, adapting styling techniques to align with contemporary looks and best practices.
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Costume Design, or a related field preferred, with at least 3 years of experience as a stylist in film, television, or photo production, with proven expertise in on-set styling and wardrobe management.
Strong understanding of styling, wardrobe preparation, and continuity maintenance in a production setting.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with multiple tasks, talent needs, and changing requirements.
Excellent problem-solving skills to address and resolve wardrobe and styling challenges on set.
Exceptional organization skills to manage wardrobe inventory, tracking, and returns.
Flexibility to work long hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on the production schedule.
Strong communication skills, with a professional and positive demeanor.
Knowledge of styling techniques and fashion industry trends.
Ability to work independently and proactively, with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in dynamic, fast-paced production environments.
Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and wardrobe inventory software is a plus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds with equipment assistance (safety/weight belt provided, if requested). Specific vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus is required.
