WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE / BACKUP DRIVER

S&S Tire of Huntington, a leading multi-location regional wholesale tire dealer, is expanding! We're adding a Warehouse Associate/Back-up Driver to the Huntington, WV Wholesale location. 

 If you have warehouse experience and box truck driving under your belt, this could be the perfect fit for you!

Duties performed in this position include, but are not limited to:

Warehouse Receiver tasks

• Loads, unloads, checks and tallies tires to and from carriers [trailer trucks]
• Selects, packs, counts, marks, palletizes tires of customer orders and places in the assigned staging areas according to bin locator system.
• Checks and verifies accuracy of selecting, packing, weighing, marking, and counting of tires for customer orders.
• May Operates order picker, pallet jacks, and other equipment in the execution of duties.
• Ensures safety guidelines are met in operating the equipment.
• Performs required counting, tallying and marking on related inventory control documents.
• Participates in cycle and/or annual physical inventories.
• Ensures safety guidelines are met by the proper palletizing, re-palletizing, and restacking of tires.
• Maintain compliance with procedures and policies

Driver Tasks

• Provide excellent customer service to all customers.
• Safely operate 16' to 28' box truck for delivery of products.
• Makes collections from customers for merchandise delivered on a Cash on Delivery basis.
• Makes list of prospective customers along the designated route to supply the Store Manager with sales follow up information.
• Ensures good mechanical operation of vehicle.
• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections at the beginning of each workday and immediately report operating problems or mechanical defects to the Warehouse Manager or designee.
• Completes all driver and vehicle maintenance logs.

Requirements

• Able and willing to work in a warehouse environment
• Lift/move tires (up to 100lbs) with or without equipment, frequent bending and lifting
• Accurately place received and shipping products in warehouse
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts
• Valid driver’s license; good standing with no more than 3 violations in 3 years
•  Must be at least 23 years old with a minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience. 
• Detail-oriented, punctual, and dependable
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting
