Clayton Services is searching for a
Warehouse Associate to join a thriving company in North Houston. The
Warehouse Associate will be r esponsible for receiving, processing, and organizing incoming stock and materials, fulfilling orders through picking, packing, and shipping, and managing stock retrieval within the warehouse.
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $16.00 - $17.00/hour
Warehouse Associate Responsibilities: - Assist in shipping and receiving operations by unloading trucks and checking in merchandise.
- Pull and stage orders for production or pack them for shipping.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins following organizational standards.
- Conduct regular inventory counts to maintain inventory control and assist in annual physical inventory counts.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat, as well as by sweeping, dusting, and mopping.
- Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
- Wear appropriate safety equipment while performing duties
Warehouse Associate Skills and Abilities: - Ability to operate a forklift.
- Regularly lift or move objects weighing 10 - 50 lbs.
- Basic computer skills.
- Familiar with Excel is a plus.
Warehouse Associate Education and Experience: - GED or High School Diploma.
- At least one year of warehouse experience, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, and operating a forklift.
